How the SBD Works

  • Items are loaded into individual SBD cassettes
  • A user logs into the SupplyLink and selects an item
  • The drawer light flashes and the cartridge with the selected item also flashes and unlocks
  • The user simply lifts the box and removes the item automatically creating a recorded transaction
  • Management has visibility to who is using the item, how many were used, and, if needed, that an item order needs to be placed to replenish stock
  • Reports and alerts are sent based upon client-established business rules
